The Jean Lombardo Music contest offers a Hermosa resident the opportunity to receive a $500 scholarship with opportunities to compete at the state level.

By participating in this event you authorize the use of your artwork and photography by  WCHB via facebook, website and/or print.


All Hermosa Beach Students K - 12 are welcome to enter art work.
All Hermosa Beach Students grades 6 to 12 are welcome to enter photography.

All participants, families and the public are welcome to the Art Display and Judging

Monday March 4, 2019  from 3 to 5pm at the Clark Building.
 

Hermosa  View and Hermosa Valley students may submit art work and entry forms at  school; others please make arrangements for drop off by contacting the  Chairman of Student Art at fivehoots@gmail.com.

Jean Lombardo Music Scholarship

 

By participating in this event you authorize the use of your music or photo by WCHB via facebook, website and/or print.  


Get the recognition you deserve for those long hours practicing.   SELECT A CLASSICAL PIECE AND ANOTHER OF YOUR CHOICE, Record it, Burn it and Send it in!

Deadline to submit is February 1, 2019 but early submissions are welcome, winner announced Wednesday, Feb 13th

Categories are: Vocalist, Pianist, Other Instrumentalist

 A  $500 scholarship will be awarded by the Woman’s Club to the winner.   ALL submissions will also be sent to the Marina District of Woman’s  Clubs, and State for more scholarship opportunities.

Graduating Senior Scholarships

By participating in this scholarship application process you authorize the use of your name and photography by WCHB via facebook, website and/or print.


Local Hermosa Beach residents are encouraged to participate in our WCHB graduating senior scholarship program.  Visit your high school college center for the application or contact Robin Bosmajian at robinboz@msn.com for details.  Recipients will be awarded their scholarships at the Mira Costa Scholarships Award Night, or the Redondo Union Scholarships Awards Night, or other participating high school.  Home schooled students are also accepted.

GFWC ART, WRITING & PHOTOGRAPHY CONTESTS

Club Women who wish to participate in writing, art and photography contests, are encouraged to participate in the GFWC sponsored contests.  For more  information, including contact information, recommended contest ideas,  rules, deadlines, and instructions on how to enter, read each Contest’s  section in the GFWC Club Manual.

The GFWC Writing Contests seek  to provide an avenue for GFWC members and community members of all ages  to express themselves.
