Student Art Submissions for Grades K-12 are welcome to enter art and photography work with opportunities to win at the state competitions.
The Jean Lombardo Music contest offers a Hermosa student resident the opportunity to receive a $1000 scholarship with opportunities to compete at the district and state levels.
Club women are encouraged to submit craft art, photography and many other art disciplines for club awards.
Eight Scholarships are awarded to Hermosa Beach graduating seniors.

Sienna Tucker, Past President and current club member won Best in Show at the Marina District level.
Samantha Lemmer won 1st Place at the Marina District Level for Grade 4-5. And Rachel Clinton is the winner of the Jean Lombardo Music Scholarship.

Monday March 9, 2020 from 3 to 5pm at the Clark Building.
Hermosa View and Hermosa Valley students may submit art work and entry forms at school; others please make arrangements for drop off by contacting the Chairman of Student Art at kay.doodle@verizon.net.

of Woman’s Clubs, and State for more scholarship opportunities
GUIDELINES:
1. Applicant must be under 22 years of age and a Hermosa Beach resident
2. Send TWO selections- one Classical plus one of your choice
3. Completed Entries must include a signed release/consent form (under age 18), brief resume, and a CD, or other digital recording format (materials will not be returned).
4. Fill out the attached Applications for both WCHB and Young Musicians (Prior applicants are not eligible)
5. Include a brief resume with both Musical and Academic accomplishments
6. Hermosa Beach Woman’s Club winner will be announced second Wednesday in February, and the scholarship funds will be presented at our May meeting, where we would also like to request a performance for our group.
7. ALL applications will then be sent to the District for additional scholarship consideration in late March.
8. The winners of the District scholarship will also be sent to the State for additional opportunities in May, so there is a possibility of three awards!

Local Hermosa Beach residents are encouraged to participate in our WCHB graduating senior scholarship program. Visit your high school college center for the application or contact Robin Bosmajian at robinboz@msn.com for details. Recipients will be awarded their scholarships at the Mira Costa Scholarships Award Night, or the Redondo Union Scholarships Awards Night, or other participating high school. Home schooled students are also accepted.
GFWC ART, WRITING & PHOTOGRAPHY CONTESTS
Club Women who wish to participate in writing, art and photography contests, are encouraged to participate in the GFWC sponsored contests. For more information, including contact information, recommended contest ideas, rules, deadlines, and instructions on how to enter, read each Contest’s section in the GFWC Club Manual.
The GFWC Writing Contests seek to provide an avenue for GFWC members and community members of all ages to express themselves.
